# Artur

> Financial management software for self-employed workers in Portugal, especially people issuing green receipts (recibos verdes) under the simplified tax regime.

Artur organizes invoices, expenses, and tax obligations. It helps users understand how much to reserve for VAT (IVA), Social Security (Segurança Social), and personal income tax (IRS), and how much money is actually available to spend. Artur does not issue invoices, replace an accountant, or submit tax declarations on the user's behalf.

People use the web or macOS application, record invoices manually, or synchronize data through InvoiceXpress and Segurança Social Direta. The public resources below do not expose authenticated account data.

Agents can use the Markdown URLs directly or request the canonical URLs with the `Accept: text/markdown` header. The Social Security simulator calculates entirely in the browser. The personal income tax simulator sends anonymized data to Artur's server for calculation. Their Markdown pages explain the required inputs, rules, and limitations but do not represent an individual calculation.
